New calculation method-The
new version of EarthWorks uses "Delaunay Triangulation" to build the
existing and proposed surfaces. The advantages of this method are
much better surface calculations, especially when using Point
Elevations, and more precision in knowing the exact elevation at any
point. This new method also increases the speed, and requires less
memory, for jobs covering large areas.
Copy Proposed Point-to-Point Left or Right-This
right-click function allows you to copy a Point to Point line to the
left and/or right. This option is good for creating road edges from
centerline data, or for copying curb lines
Autostaking
-The new program can now lay an array of stakes at regular intervals
across the drawing. You can specify the starting coordinates, ending
coordinates, and spacing as well as constraining the stakes to
within Perimeters. This saves you from the tedium of manually
staking the site.
New Staking Report Options-The
Staking Report has been significantly expanded and improved. It now
gives you the option of "Polar coordinates (Angle, Distance)" or
"Cartesian coordinates (Northing, Easting)" for the stake location.
It also allows you to select the kind of data at the stake’s
location such as Proposed Elevations, Proposed Elevations minus
Subgrades, Proposed Elevations minus Subgrades minus Topsoil
Respread, Cut/Fill and Existing Elevation.
Plus Many more features like:
Also included in V3.01e
Import of Total Station Data -
(Pro Only)
This allows a user to import a data file from
a Data Collector
New Color Map Sidebar-A
new sidebar is now displayed to show elevation information when you
are viewing a color map.
Cropping Tool-
A basic cropping tool has been added that
allows you to crop drawing objects to a rectangular area. This is
useful when importing AutoCAD files that contain existing elevations
covering a much larger area than your work area.
Faster Drawing in the 3D View-The
3D only draws as much detail as will fit on the screen.
More Color Maps-Subgrade
and Demolition color maps have been added.
New Surfaces on Cross-Sections-The
Cross-section now shows both the Proposed and Existing Surfaces as
well as the Subgraded and Demoed surfaces.
Restore Last Drawing Placement-When
a drawing is saved in Earthworks and then reloaded, the program
offers you the option to reuse the last drawing placement points.
And many more…
