EarthWorks allows you to perform excavation take-offs much faster than the traditional "by-hand" methods.  With PDF and TIFF files, you can trace in your drawing on-screen.  By using a digitizer board you can trace in your information from your blueprint. Or if you have an AutoCAD file, you can import it directly and then use our extensive editing tools to complete the drawing. 

EarthWorks makes entering your grading information simple.  You can enter your drawing information in any order. Simply trace or tap in your contour lines, topsoil areas, building pads, spot elevations, curb lines, etc. Edit any entry with a simple right-clicking.  

When your drawing is complete, EarthWorks will calculate your cut/fill, topsoil quantities, rock cut, over-excavation and building materials.  Once EarthWorks has calculated your drawing, you can access many different views of the site, such as a elevation views, cut and fill view, and 3D views. This allows you to check your work to make sure that the quantities that are generated are accurate and complete. 

EarthWorks is also more affordable long term if you consider costs such as upgrades and support.  Upgrades and support costs are considerably lower that other software packages and are not additive, so if you don't upgrade for a couple of years you are not hit with a huge cost when you choose to upgrade.
